A bit about you...

I will start -

Hello ladies, My name is Sarah and I will be 26 years old this year. For the last couple of years I have been luckily enough to be a stay at home mum to my two beautiful little girls - Isabelle Sofia, 5 and Esm???? Alexa 2. Before being a stay at home mum I worked in a young offenders prison which was an eye opening experience for me.

My partner, Chris is training to become a pilot and although not yet married we are planning the fairy tail castle wedding of our dreams but with a price tag of ??35k image we need his pilots wage first  . We planned on having 4 children but will see how we cope with number three first. I think thats about it image .

A little bit about you? .....

  • I'm Emily. I'm 30 from Birmingham and have a dd who is 15 months. I work part time on a job share basis as a Solicitor and specialise in Child Protection. My husband is also a solicitor.

We're looking forward to having number 2, but slightly scared too!
  • Hi Emily. What a lovely age gap your two will have. I found the second one much easier than the first. I'm sure you will do great. xx
  • Hi, I'm Amy. I'm 26 my husband is 31. We have an 18 month old son Dexter and a 6 month old daughter Neve so this baby is number 3 for us! I also found my second baby much easier that my first I'm just hoping number 3 is as easy! I am supposed to be working full time but having 2 babies in 12 months has meant I have not been there much for the last 2 years and now will not be going back for long this time! Not sure how they will react to that but I will face the music in a few months when I have plucked up the courage to tell them
  • Hi Amy, I have a lot of friends from my old group (Due in June 2009) who have 3 children and all of them said that the 3rd just seems to fit in the routine you already have so im keeping my fingers crossed for that  xXx
  • Yes me too, my daughter just slipped straight into the routine I had going with my son from about 4 weeks old so to me she has been an absolute dream. I am hoping it will be as good with number 3 but we will see. I still cant believe its true to be honest! I keep having those moments where I suddenly remember  I will know about it before long!
  • I'm heather and i'm 27. this will b my thrid baby as i already hav two boys aged 4, joshua, and 3, matthew.

I'm just about to start my 3rd and final year at uni where i am studying criminology and will hopefully be going back into the prison service when this baby is a little older.

My parter is 25, this is his first baby, and he works for sky. we are engaged and have no idea when we will get married

  • Hi Ladies

Hope you don't mind me gatecrashing your thread... but thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm Gemma and i'm 27 this December... my hubby will be celebrating his 30th in afghan early next year! We have a son, Joey, aged 3.5 (Still need to book in with my midwife, as to be honest, I'm very nervous/scared about baby no2) but I THINK I am due around 10th April.

As you can probably guess my hubby is in the forces (and will be away on yet another 6 month tour when I'm due... oh the joys!) I'm a part time exam invigilator at the moment having recently moved. Before that I worked for Ann Summers image

Think I've bored you all enough now!!! xx
  • Hello Heather - How cool that you are in your final year of criminology? I would love to do that, I think lol. I loved working in a prison. Oh also I forgot to put, My partner is 27 image xx
  • Hi Gemma, Sorry I posted my last post before I saw your reply. Gosh it must be so hard for you that your husband is in the forces at times. Especially as he will be away around the time you are due. I haven't yet booked in with my MW but plan on doing so this week. Baby number 2 is much easier than number one hun and im sure you will cope just fine. xXx
  • No worries Sarah xx It's not so much the baby... more the pregnancy/birth... I will call the Dr's tomorrow!

Happy to hear baby no2 tends to be easy though!!! xx
  • I'm Liz and sounds like I'm the old lady of the group, I'm 35 two weeks today, eek! I've been married to Paul for 12 years (he's 37) and we have a 15 month old daughter, Daisy Ana.

I work in HR as a project manager working mainly on talent management and leadership development. I work full time but on compressed fortnight arrangement, so I do my hours in 9 days and have every other Friday off. I'd love to go down to 4 days a week after this one though.
  • Hey there - this is a great idea. You don't get much of an idea of who's who from the log in details!

I'm Zoe - I'm 37 (eek) and I work for a Investment Bank in the City (LOndon). I got married on 1st July this year to Dafydd (yes he's Welsh!) and he's a pilot for a large commercial airline. I live in Orpington, Kent and he has a house in Wales - so although we don't see each other that much, we try to split our time between the two places which can be great but also stressful.

I had three misscarriages (all before 10 weeks) last year so this is our 4th attempt. I seem to fall pregnant relatively easily, but can't keep the little ones.

I am freaking out at the moment as lost all my (few) symptoms last week so now pretty sure I won't be in this forum for long.

Best of luck to you all and nice to 'meet you'!

    xx
