*** Please sign this petition to routinely test for Strep B during pregnancy ***
http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/43712
Following on from my post the other day, baby Tallulah could have been saved if her mum had been tested and treated for Strep B during her pregnancy. There is a test available but it is not routinely carried out. If any of you can take a few minutes to sign this petition then perhaps this can change in the future and end the unnecessary death of another little angel.
Thank you xxx
ETA - If anyone is able to spread the link further or mind sharing it on their Facebook then that would be fantastic, it's a long way off the 100,000 signatures at the moment Xx

Done. This still makes me so sad.
Thanks Imp, it's just so dreadful for her mum to know that she was carrying it the whole pregnancy :-(
Is it not because you can test negative one day and positive the next?
Very very sad but im not sure what the answer is x
CK - If the test is done correctly at the later stage of pregnancy then apparently it is quite accurate xx

This makes me so sad
It is scary :-( so heartbreaking for anyone to lose their child but to have her snatched away so soon....you just never know xx
Done, I'm sorry to hear about your friend's little girl. So, so sad xx

I've signed and shared. This family are local to me, absolutely devastated for them.
Done. I know a lady whose daughter was born whilst she had strep B and is now profoundly disabled. It's awful that it could have been prevented so easily. I'd never even heard of it.
