Aarrgghh why are there no nice boys christening outfits???
H is being christened in a few weeks and I can't find anything nice. I've been to a lot of the major stores but most of what they have is just uninspiring.
does anyone have any recommendations? I don't want him to have a suit as such ie like for a wedding.
so frustrating!

What kind of thing are you looking for ? Traditional silk romper, linen trousers, gown ?
I don't generally think of the high street being the place for Christening clothes.
Well I would have liked a gown but the rest of the family think he'll look too girly so unless I can find a more boyish one that may be out. Otherwise a romper style I think. I just don't know where to look!
Any of these any good

www.poshtotsonline.co.uk/boys-christening-rompers (we used PoshTots for zoe's christening gown)
Thanks jb that website has some really nice looking ones. I take it you had no problems when you used them?
We went for a gown for Rafferty and he was 10 months. He did look girly but it was traditional and I loved it lol! For such a small boy I'd definitely go for a gown! This romper was my second choice www.littlesweethearts-christening.co.uk/.../Sarah_Louise_209SR_Boys_Christening_Romper_and_Hat
Rafferty in his gown!
I personally don't like gowns on boys. I think I'd go for a silk romper like the one on John Lewis.
I always order bits from olivia rose baby wear, have a look on there for rompers if you decide on one.
I got C Christened in a cream silk gown, from BHS.
He was 6.5 months, but looked more like a 3 month old, so he could "pull it off".
As he was so tiny, he didn't look too girly.
Thanks everyone. After a day spent in my
Mums loft we finally found my christening gown so he's going to wear that and keep it in the family. Then I feel I gave an excuse for a gown and he's so teeney I hope he can carry it
Ohhhh I was hoping you'd found something so I could nose! I don't want to pay £50 for a blimming romper e can wear for one day!
I was the same missuss seemed such a waste of money. The website jb suggested was good although still pretty expensive
.
If you find owt mm let me know!
