Books for girls
Hi all,
I hope you don't mind me ducking in with a quick Christmas shopping question. I want to get some books for my nieces for Christmas, those of you with girls do you have any recommendations for 7/8 year olds and 11/12 year olds please.

Not so sure about the 11/12 year old - there's Jacqueline Wilson who is good.
For the younger child: Tumtum and Nutmeg stories (by Emily Bearn I think), story called 'Operation Bunny', Pippi Longstocking, Finn Family Moomintroll, Magic Faraway Tree and Paddington books have all gone down well with my 6 year (she has them read to her, an older child would be able to tackle them themselves I should think).
