Going stiff when lying down
hi all,
i have a 11 week old who recently when being on her changing mat or play mat all of a sudden goes stiff legs and arms stretched out and has a terrified look on her face, she then screams and cries until she is picked up, one picked up she then falls asleep,
has anyone else had this ? I’ve been told it could be a startle relex?

If it is startle reflex she needs cuddle or swaddle. Its the same thing she would do in the womb resulting in a big kick/punch you could feel. Shes still surprised that there is no soft comfy womb wall and feels scared
