Working second job whilst on SMP?
Whilst being on SMP are you allowed to apply for a second job?
I am thinking of working a second job on the odd weekend at a bar whilst receiving SMP from my employer as SMP might not be enough. Wondering whether or not this is allowed?

No this is not allowed. If you started a second job smp would be stopped. Hope this helps
SMP is an absolute joke. No idea how I'm gonna survive on £600 A month. Mortgage is that much alone!
I know its a pain! Im not sure if there are any other benefits you can claim while on mat leave maybe try an online calculater. i know tax credits go up but not normally until the following Tax year
