Evidence behind weaning at 6 months and 4 months
does anyone have links to actual research articles that show the pros and cons of weaning earlier than 6 months. I can’t seem to find anything substantial just articles without references or anecdotal forum posts. It is so hard to make an informed decision without any actual evidence.

Ysmummy,
I never found any hard evidence when I have looked in the past but weaned all 3 of my children at 4m (currently 13,9 &2) with touch wood no apparent issues. Our 1st dc was dairy intolerant and found weaning early really helped the next 2dc were just looking for food at round the 4m marker so went with it, all be it slowly and just a little baby porridge etc that was mixed with their milk to start with. Totally up to u but just wanted to share my experience. X
Thanks!
For anyone else looking for any evidence etc. Here is a link i found to the WHO report https://www.who.int/en/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/infant-and-young-child-feeding

Hi Ysmummy, maybe this article we have will help?
I had already read that article, was very useful and insightful, didn’t realise it had a link at the bottom to the research, thanks!!
