The Horniman Museum is great and so pleased it's been mentioned - enjoyable for adults too and such a mix of displays. The aquarium, the stuffed walrus and there was this musical instrument room when we went (unsure if it's a permanent exhibit or not) that was just brilliant. The cafe was also good and had a great range of food. Well worth travelling to.
