I dont know how babies and toddlers can be pigeonholed on any of the things they learn. Each child develops at his/her own pace and surely as long as a child is talking does it matter how many words they say!!!
Surely it doesn't matter WHICH words a child is using as long as they are using some. My son is 18 months old and uses a few but not many of the words on this list. BUT he can say lots of other words eg digger, helicopter, bike, fish, duck etc. Ok so he's vehicle obsessed but he certainly has no communication problems and uses signs or gestures for things he can't say yet.
