  This is not correct, manufacturers will continue to make booster seats as it is only newly invented boosters or those needing to apply for a new approval that need to meet this new regulation. If the seat has an R44.04 approval on it, it can be used safely and legally and they will continue to be sold.
  
  Parents do not ned to rush out and buy more seats as the seats they have remain to comply with legal and safety requirements.
