After giving birth to a stillborn twin, who I knew had passed whilst in the womb, I asked for the midwife to take the baby away without seeing her. Her sister was whipped off to NICU. The following morning I woke and the first thing I wanted to do was see her little body, I am forever grateful to the midwife who had placed her in a tiny wicker basket and she had been sleeping in a room right next door to me. I had the chance to see her and say my goodbyes.
We had a little service and scattered her ashes so her twin sister, who is now 10, has somewhere to visit her and so do we.
