Is deodorant safe if it gets on babies?

Hi all

My partner uses deodorant and we have a 7 month old baby and ofcourse he cuddles him 

His mum said it's harmful if it gets on babies clothes  

Is this true? He uses the lynx spray

    Natural deodorants are perfectly safe. For other type of deodorants child might have allergy for some ingredients, also deodorants smell might be too strong for a baby. It is always good idea to use scent free one
