Accidentally gave follow on to an 8 week old

Hi All,
We accidently brought the wrong aptamil milk for our child (2 months) and gave her approx. 100ml of Aptamil follow on milk (specifically for 6 to 12 months) instead of the Aptamil 1 we should have given (the bottles look identical)
Being new parents we're a little worried. Is there anything we should be really concerned about?

  • I would not worry too much. You have only given a very small quantity and there is actually very little difference between first milk and follow on. I believe follow on has a higher sugar content. Follow on milk was developed predominately to allow baby milk manufacturers to advertise as in the uk you can not advertise first milk. So try not to worry!
