That’s a difficult one hunni that I don’t think anyone can answer for you. We have been trying for baby no.1 on and off for 4 years now. I got diagnosed with PCOS recently and we are now about to start our 2nd round IUI with fertility drugs, we pay privately and it’s very expensive. I am also about to turn 37 this year.

I understand the emotional toll that it can take and I don’t know how long I am going to keep trying for, but mentally I am not ready yet to give up yet but that’s just me. Like I said I think it’s incredibly personal and only you will know when it feels right for you. It can put a big toll on relationships and I am def not prepared to lose my OH over this so we try and keep good communication.

Anyway sorry for war and peace and I don’t feel like I have been very helpful but I just wanted you to know you’re not alone in feeling this way , the decision comes down to a number of factors and ultimately it’s up to you when it feels like time xxx

I know what your saying I was diagnosed with pcos to and emdemitriosis too so lucky I have my baby girl, I know how much that wanting is just for one, I was told I'd find it hard but the first didn't take too long but this second doesn't seem like it'll happen every month I have to test even when my period comes because I'm wishful thinking then I'm so down, about it. Four years is a long time my friend recommended Myo insitol susposed to help with pcos and conceiving I've been taking it, my friend spent years trying went on insitol and fell within a couple of months I think it helps balance hormones and absorb insulin better. I just wish I was happy having one, I know how incredibly blessed I am just want her to have a brother or sister...we have spoken about adopting.... Have you had fertility tests or is it just the pcos stopping you? X

I had all my tests done my tubes are all clear etc and my period is fairly regular but I have PCOS anyway and don’t always ovulate which is why we now are using the fertility drugs. 4 years is a long time but if it’s meant it will happen and if not I will have to re look at my life and what I want out of it instead. Yes you are lucky to have one but I don’t think it makes it any easier for you to handle the disappointment of not getting g that BFP when you want another one. It has taken me this long to just have one and yet I know I will want a sibling for them too unless I have twins lol. Good luck with it all I hope to see your bfp soon xxx

Hi! have you considered IVF? i got a sperm donation abroad and it worked wonders for me and my wife :)

No, as you can't just get IVF unless you pay private which we can't afford, you have to go through a process we are down to see the fertility specialist soon so fingers crossed they will be able to tell us what is wrong.
