Talkback: The Best Eco Baby Wipes

Replies

  • I thought Water Wipes were great until discovering they are only 20% biodegradable - the rest of the wipe is made of polyester and will not decompose for 20 years at best, 200 years at worst
  • The seed extract in Waterwipes contains Benzalkonium chloride. Waterwipes definitely are not the purest wipes. Won't use them again. For that price I can get much better wipes for my baby. Very interesting article I read that: They use in Waterwipes " commercialy available Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) which has been found to contain synthetic antibacterial and antifungal disinfectants like benzalkonium chloride, triclosan, or methylparaben, NONE of which are naturally found in the extract of the seeds themselves". Now on the Waterwipes website they put that wipes might contain benzalkonium chloride. Very disappointed about that.
