Could it be a false positive?

Okay, so I just took a first response early detection test as my period is due tomorrow and i've been getting really really sore boobs and no usual before-af spotting. I got two blazing lines in less than 15 seconds! Though, afterward, I realized that i'd read the instructions wrong. I thought you had to dip it in the cup for 10 seconds, not 5. The instructions say 5 seconds, but I held it in the cup for around 9. Could this cause a false positive?? Or is this unlikely?? Thank you for any help!!
