appt with gynaecology dpt - what it means

Hi, wondering if anyone had to gynaecology appoitment in hospital. is it normal? midwife didnt told me that I would have to go for check to gynaecology dept in hospital. at the time of appoitment I will be 17wks. I am bit worried, it there something wrong which I am not aware of?

    If there was something wrong I think they would have informed you. I had all my ante natal appts in gyny last time coz it freaked me out too but I'm sure its nuffing to worry about, it might just be standard practise where u are. Hope all goes well. Kerry x
