Bed rest...

Can too much bed rest cause problems for a developing foetus. i.e with blood circulation restricted?

Feeling so tired and resting a lot but don't want to risk harming this one.

Thanks,
Em xxxxxxxxxxxx

resting wont do you any harm at all hun. as you get bigger (from 16 weeks i think) you should try not to lie on your back too much tho as the weight of the baby restricts blood flow to the placenta. apparantly the left side is the best side to lie on but you just need to find a comfy position for yourself!

hi i dont think too much rest is bad (or that there is such as thing as TOO MUCH rest). i have known people to go into early labour due to doing too much, so just carry on with all the rest you can get, im finding that so difficult with a three year old!
