Whitening.....Vintage clothes

Hi I know this isnt baby related, well it is but it isnt!

Im having my lo christened in my christening gown, however over the years (35) its gone a tinge of yellow. I dont just want to bung it into a bowl of vanish or bleach but would like to know if anyone has any good ideas or knows anything that is delicate enough to use.

    i had this problem and i was really worried it wouldnt whiten up, but i soaked it in napisan as its gentler than normal whitening stuff. i soaked it for 24hrs and wahed on a normal quick setting. it came out great and it start start very yellow.
