Christmas ball

Hi girls,

My husband is in the army and we have his xmas ball in 3 weeks time and I have to wear a floor length gown.

I'll be 17 weeks by then (13+5 now) and don't know what to do. I'm not showing at all really (bar perhaps a little bloatedness) but will I be in another 3 weeks and how much will it affect a dress if I buy it now?

Does anyone know of anywhere that sells ball gowns that will accomodate a bump? I've seen loads of beautiful cocktail dresses but nothing that is floor length.

Ooh Goonie, I am so Jealous. How nice to have an excuse to dress up properly! We have a couple of weddings to go to, but I don't think a full length glamorous gown would be suitable!

hi goonie how about a normal floor length dress (not maternity) with an empire line because if your bump doesnt grow much you may have a lot of excess fabric in a maternity dress and you can also wear it after baby is here

Thanks mrsclaretweeze, I did actually see a floor length maternity dress from asos in a magazine but its not on the site. Hmm.

I'm looking forward to the ball mrsrc (the army has some perks!) but worried about just looking a bit fat rather than pregnant so maybe an empire line dress would be a good idea, thanks sxychick x
