The milk you put in baby rice....

Sorry if I am being silly but I am very confused! I know you mix the baby rice with baby milk, but I have the bottles at room temp then I warm them up once I have put the powder in. So can I make up the milk as normal and then wamr it up, then mix with the baby rice?? Sorry if this is obvious but I am easily confused!
