after you help -
has any of you got one of these mothercare stair gates?

if so could i cheekly ask if you could possibly tell me the width of the brackets/hindges bits - the actual bit that attatches to the wall?
if not anyone got an idea of how i can find out without going through the hassle of having it home delivered and then have to arrange a collection to return it if too wide.
