toys storage
I'm trying to find some nice shelves/storage for cole's millions of new toys - i know what I want and its doing my head in cause I can't find one!!
I want something with those storage bins at the bottom for toys, and shelves on the top for books - my friend has one and she got it from blooming marvellous but their website has been down for the last week so I can't look and I've looked everywhere else I can think of.
Something kind of like this
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0175100/c_1/1|category_root|Home+and+furniture|10197552/c_2/2|cat_10197552|Children%27s+furniture|10197719/c_3/3|cat_10197719|Children%27s+storage+and+toyboxes|10197727.htm
but with proper shelves rather than those rubbish slot things that don't hold anything and Cole won't be able to get his books out of, and there is no way that 2 slots will hold all his books. It looks like 3 slots but according to the reviews it isn't.
I've tried argos, ebay, littlewoods, vertbaudet, kiddicare and I'm sure a couple of others that have slipped my mind right now!
Before I go insane with the clutter of toys... does anyone know where I can find one of these shelves???

this is the one I have for his room which I keep his lego & mega blocks, chalks for his chalk board & a few stuffed toys. Most of his stuff is downstairs.
IMO that shelf you posted wont be big enough & the books slots are next to useless
I keep all books in one of the plastic boxes with lids liek this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8752123/c_1/1|category_root|Home+and+furniture|10197552/c_2/2|cat_10197552|Storage|10197771/c_3/3|cat_10197771|Storage+baskets+and+boxes|10197782.htm.
They stack on top of each other, come in different sizes & you can see whats in each one.
I also sorted all sonnys toys into different boxes & it def makes life easier & means I can limit how much mess I end up with.
one has art & crafts stuff, one has only cars & trains, one has musical type toys & instruments, another has dress up, & one is just general nick nack toys. Has made my life so much easier having them organised like this.
beebee I agree about the shelf i posted - the book slots look rubbish!! I do like the first one you posted though - I'd looked at that but there is far too much pink on there for a small boy - hubby would have a fit! I do like the idea of putting everything away in a cupboard out of site in evenings but our house isn't big enough!!
I wanted something that cole could easily go to and get what he wants out (he's very good at that at my mates house ) - guess i'll keep checking ebay for now!
There you go.
Will go measure up later once the kitchen guy has buggered off and I can put my shopping away!
Thankyou
Have you tried the great little trading company.I brought a storage with shelfs thing from their when my 7 year old was tiny and its brill
Oh I have just had a look on the site and they do the storage unit but not one with the shelves !! Booooo.

I have just brought a set of three wicker chests so I can just put it all in and close the lid.But I do also have a oridinary bookshelf downstairs in the dining room which I store all of eves books so she can easily reach them.
Have fun shopping
But I could also do a bookshelf and smaller storage unit seperately!
Argh decisions decisions!!!
I'll have fun shopping
