What do gums look like just before teeth come through ?

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone can describe what their LO gums looked like just before a tooth came through.

My LO has been teething for what feels like ages in the past few days her gums have looked swollen and this morning looks like there is what i can only describe as a blister (raised and clear looking) is this right ??

Many Thanks

Cazz

hello hun.... this sounds like it might be a small cyst in baby's mouth. It is associated with teething and normally resolve themselves as the teeth break through. a cyst is just a small accumulation of fluid, if it is this I wouldn't worry unless it appears to irritate lo. hope Ive helped xxxx
