1st period

does anyone know if its normal to feel like your in labour again with your first period after birth?
i had my son owen 6 weeks ago and my period has just started and its sooo painful and really heavy
with my first, it wasnt this painful it really does feel like im in labour again

my first was really heavy. it wasnt really painful but my tear did really really ache which was much more painful than the cramps, it was like it was for the first few days after dd was born
