Hello ladies

I'm going to a christening in 2 weeks. I went shopping all weekend and cannot find a maternity dress anywhere suitable for a chrsitening. Everything seems to be black. I ordered 2 dresses off asos they came today and there too tight around my bump.

Can anyone please recommend anywhere I can try looking for a maternity dress suitable for a christening

Also gatecrashing (from baby), but have you tried Jojomamanbebe? (www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk) They normally have some pretty dresses, although will probably have summer stock in so you'll need a cardy

isabelle oliver is so very expensive for something you can't wear much or for very long, you can try new look and dorothy perkins for something more reasonably priced and online. I found dorothy perkins to be generous in the bump area and new look has a fair selection not in black,

there is alot more choice out there than I first thought I hadnt thought to try alot of these places

I agree with you pumkin isabelle oliver is very pricey especially since I have just over 8 weeks to go so wont get much wear out of the dress.

there is a nice halter neck one on jojo maman bebe which I love. I also love the lilac one on top shop and a maxi dress on newlook. I may order them all see what looks best I can always send them back if there no good. My biggest problem is I'm measuring 4 weeks ahead so my bump is quite big.

I hadnt even though about a cardi I will have to look around but I guess I could get a non maternity one and not fasten it just use it to keep the chill off my shoulders

Hi,

I would recommend Tiffany rose. I got a fab dress for a wedding in my last pregnancy.

It is pricey but people often sell these and Isabella Oliver quite reasonably on eBay. They are usually in very good condition too because you don't often wear special dresses whilst pregnant.

Mamalicious is also a nice range. I think next also do a huge range online which you can order in store if you don't want to set up a credit account.

We have a wedding in march when I will be roughly 25 weeks. No idea what to wear as it's likely going to be chilly but still spring time and a wedding so don't want to wear winter colours.
