My 20 month old has started hitting me while laughing and saying ouch! Anyone had anything similar how did you stop it?

Yes, we've had this and it seemed to be 'just a phase' fortunately. We did tell Dylan 'no' when he did it, so he would get some idea that it was wrong (he's only 16 months now and this happened a couple of months back). He eventually stopped doing it & thankfully didn't do it to anyone outside the family!
However, oddly he's always smacked my Nan....am sure he loves her really!!! She gets the odd kiss too!
