Thanks girls appreciate the love 💙💙
I can’t wait for him to be here! It’s so nice being in this group and watching how far everyone is coming considering we were all just joining saying “I’m 5 weeks” “I’m 6 weeks” etc cheers me up 💓💙
Good morning everyone, I haven't been in for ages, missed the notification for the new thread. My tummy seems to be growing very well, been avoiding the scales though. Haha. I am 24 weeks today, it feel like a big milestone. I have a growth scan 4 weeks on Wednesday, seems ages and ages away.
Wow to all the boys, how very very exciting and for the very special girls too.
We have been busy trying to clear spare room for little girl to move into, want her to get used to it before her brother arrives, want to decorate in a jungle theme for her so that is my task over the next few months.
@LouTTC83 It goes fast, 24 weeks already, congratulations! Jungle theme bedroom sounds awesome, I'd love it for myself 😁 I have a glucose tolerance test next Monday, just want to get it done and get the result so I know. Otherwise feeling fine, belly is definitely growing for me as well, and I am feeling quite a lot of movement 🥰
Hi everyone. So I had my 2nd anatomy scan today and luckily she was able to get all measurements straight away and baby doing well. She thinks weighing in at 1lb 3oz! But still no definitive gender...80% sure it's a girl but she couldn't get the 'money' shot so gender neutral baby items for me. Getting lots and lots of movements and kicks too. I was so hot at work last week in PPE that I have developed terrible thrush hoping the pessary and cream start working soon.
I’m back at work sometime this week too I’m so nervous! I’m a poker dealer so I’ll be going back to a busy casino 😭 glad everyone is feeling good I don’t have a bump or get much kicking, he starts at 4am everynight but only feel little lumps I have anterior placenta so I’m hoping that’s it x
I won't really be going back to work now. My boss has realised there is no reason for me to work in the office, it adds no value , I can do what I do from home. I work three days a week usually but have lots of holidays to use so going to take a day a week to save money on nursery and give me a break. @Sarahc06, I had an anterior placenta with my daughter and felt barely anything until I was 28/30 weeks. This time I don't and I can feel the flutters I didn't with her xx
24+2 today and like you said @LouTTC83, it feels like a milestone - maybe it’s the fact you’re now heading closer to the countdown rather than inching towards the middle?! I had my midwife appointment this morning - everything was fine which is unheard of for me historically so trying to enjoy this!! Got my MATB1 and said to my partner we need to sit down and decide when to stop work - seems a bit surreal. We started decorating the nursery this weekend, which has been lovely because now we’re all walking by and stopping in to imagine what it’ll be like!
Hello ladies. After my 20 weeks scan on the 28th July. I got a mail that they weren't able to get all his measurements, so they gave me another scan date for 14th August (last week Friday). It went really well and it was great to see my young man again. He loves showing off and the sonographer got me a good potty shot 😊. I'm 23+1 today and just glad that the weather is not as hot anymore.
Oh how lovely @YummymummyofWR, I love how clear scans are these days. Does anyone else feel that it’s going so quickly?! I go back to work (in a school) the 1st September. I’m not looking forward to it with how things are at the moment
I had my 20 week scan today... a very smiley baby haha. We are finding the gender out on Saturday. I can’t wait!
Hi all hope your all doing good. Felt brave today and went fb official 😂 at just over 24 weeks. Still having 4 weekly scans but things are going in the right direction. @Sarahc06 wow Arthur James beautiful name my other son is Finlay James. Anyone had their whooping cough jab yet? I read in the book that comes with our bounty pack they are more effective the closer they are to 16 wks but NHS website says 24 weeks onwards. Really hoping to breastfeed this time round been given a breastfeeding book that I cannot put down its amazing. Wondered whether any of you have previously breastfed know what I need to buy before he arrives ? Manual pump or electric?which bottles are best as hoping to express etc eventually do I get a steriliser just incase 🤔I’m so used to buying bottles and steriliser and feeding formula I feel I need to stock up incase I fail or so I’m prepared with every eventuality breastfeeding. Heres our cheeky reveal pic it certainly made us laugh !!
I breastfed both of mine, my second daughter until she self weaned at 17 months (we moved house and she literally just stopped!) I never got on with expressing so cant help there but what I would say is anything that makes it easier is a god send! My list at the mo includes nipple cream, a realllllly long charger, giant muslins and things that I can wear that will be breastfeeding friendly. I think it’s kind of just about finding what works for you and also trusting yourself in those early days/weeks that it will work. Your book sounds fab!
Hi @Mitzy8. I got a very sore nipple with my daughter so found nipple shields helped until it healed and I had an electric pump but didn't get much from that. Also I used plenty of cream, I recommend you have that in before it in early in case it gets bad. I also bought reusable breast pads for the leaks and used to have a table full of snacks and drinks ready to go I want to breastfeed again but worried how difficult it will be with a nearly two years old wanting my attention. Anyone got experience with this? Xx

@Mitzy8 love your announcement!! So cute 😍 on breast feeding especially in the first few weeks as others have mentioned nipple cream was a must for me, I’d recommend the lansinoh nipple cream it’s amazing, oh and breast pads as I hadn’t realised but when you feed from one breast the other leaks a lot of milk!! Xx

Due to an extra heart check, I will have my next ultrasound at week 32. Anyway that's still a very long time from now.
How is everyone doing? I was looking forward to the second trimester energy boost but I just feel so tired all the time!

If anyone did express when did you start?
I’m just hoping it would help free me up a bit so my little boy doesn’t feel left out. 😂
