  • Sjay thanks Hun, hope you feel better soon too!!

Glad your scan went well! He's a cheeky little one and he isn't here yet! How many weeks are you xx

  • Oh my cheeky is an understatement! I am 23 weeks this Sunday 🤗 xx

  • Eek exciting! Do you know when you're gonna finish for maternity? X

  • I’m in two minds! We break up for Christmas Break on 24th December, however, is it worth going back in Jan for a week?! I may just go back and reduce my hours and hold out as long as I can! what about you? X

  • Yeah it depends how you feel Hun!

My due date is 20th Feb so I'm hoping to start my actual maternity leave from 19th but actually finish on the 5th and use two weeks annual leave because then I'll only lose out on 2 weeks maternity with the baby if he/she decides to come late xx

  • Obviously if baby comes early then my maternity will just start from then xx

  • Morning ladies, just reading through,  First I have sorted all my mat leave, I am working up until the 26th Jan baby is due on the 2nd Feb. If I need to I will work from home on the last week.

I'm bolting all of next years annual leave onto the end of my mat leave because Im only having the 9 months.

How long are you taking? I have to go back fulltime ( maybe just four days a week) for financial reasons so its nursery for us, not what I wanted to do at all, but no matter how I look at the numbers we just cant afford it :( I feel like a bad mum already. xx

  • tara you're not a bad mum 💕 Not at all. You're doing what's best to give your family financial security. It will be hard I bet- but nursery will be so good for baby 💕 They will be so social and their development really comes along in that environment. And think of all those lovely snuggles after work 💕 It'll be ok.

  • Thank you Aussie, that’s so reasurring I really needed that xx

  • You're not a bad mum Tara!! Like Aussie said, it would be really good to socialise your little one early on.

I'm doing it the other way around, due date is 16th Feb so taking all of January off as annual leave and then starting maternity leave on Feb 1st. I've been told that bambino may have to come earlier due to low lying placenta so i'd rather have more time before in case. Also my commute to work is 1 hour 45 minutes each way (the joys of living in London) and it's already killing me, I dread to think how bad it will be the bigger I get! I've also got really bad sciatica in my back which does not help! The joys hey?!

  • Tara I don't blame you! I am only having the 9 months also :-) Don't feel like a bad mum like the other girls said you have to do what is stable for you and your family and nursery is such a good place for the baby to develop social skills too!!

Doctors have put me on antibiotics today as I suffered with a severe ingrown toenail back last year until Feb this year which in the end had to be cut out. Sorry for the detail lol! But long story short, I think my other toe is going the same way so I'm hoping I will catch it early as they said they probably wouldn't operate until baby is born.. It went on for 5 months last time and I couldn't walk by the end of it so hoping the antibiotics will sort it out xx

  • I'm due on 15th Feb and I think I'm going to finish 4 weeks before, using 2 weeks holiday and 2 weeks maternity but I may still change my mind yet.  Me and my partner have waited 5 years to try for baby so that we could financially afford for me to have the full 12 months off work then only return part time but after getting pregnant my partner started suffering panic attacks at work which has resulted in him being signed off so looks like we will only be able to afford for me to have minimal time off and may have to return full time so just goes to show no matter how well you plan things it doesn't always work out how you think!  I do think nursery is good for them though in terms of their development I will just be sad to miss out on the time with him when he is growing up.

  • Skittles I completely agree with you Hun. You definitely can only plan so far.. you can never foresee anything. When me and my OH bought our house we had only been together 6 months and moved in when it had been a year and my best mate (of all people) was like are you sure it's right? Getting a mortgage blah blah blah. I'm sorry people can be together 30 years and have a divorce so again it's showing nothing can ever be 'planned'. Sorry to hear that you can't have your 12 months off though Hun and hope your OH is okay!!

Little update from me.. had a bit of a worry on earlier because I hadn't felt baby move all day so went to the hospital and they listened in for me so that reassured me so I can enjoy my weekend xx

  • image 23 weeks today! Xx

  • Thanks for all the support ladies!💕💕

Lovely First! cute bump! Are you feeling lots of movement now? in the early stages mine was off and on try not to panic.

my husband and I have started our antenatal classes. We are doing them early as we are moving house, really enjoying it makes things so real! Xx

  • Tara hope ur feeling a bit better!

aw first your bump is lovely 😍

im feel so pregnant right now. I feel like i pee all day long and I have Braxton hicks all the time. Sometimes the babies move onto my bladder and I literally have about a minute to get to the loo before I pee myself haha. They feel so heavy now! I guess I have around a kilo of baby in there already- plus two placentas and the fluid- no wonder I feel like I'm carrying around a boulder!

My back is struggling a little especially by the end of the Day. And if I Hoover I'm in agony (make ur partners Hoover girls it's so bad for ur back! My paramedic told me not to do it last pregnancy if u have hip pain as its one of the most aggravating things u can do to that area!)

other than that Im eating like a horse! Luckily I'm working out still a minimum of 3x per week. Still only gained 8 and a bit pounds so far, 4 kilos in my lingo, but I think from now on its gonna just keep going up n up!

image Pic is at 22 weeks :)

  • Tara yeah lots of movement now.. Mainly in the evening or early hours! I was supposed to go to a class tonight but couldn't finish work in time to get there.

Aussie 8 pounds is amazing considering you're carrying twins!! I've gained 15lbs and that's with one baby! xx

  • Hi ladies, i aint been on in a while half term has been busy and draining my energy... ahhh first glad your getting kicks now 😊 its the beat feeling unless its at 2 in morn and on your bladder lol.

Aussie think ive been having braxton hicks too dont remember what its like since my daughter but was having period like cramps in my back and lower stomach so googled and its saying braxton hicks. Had it for a whole day on and off and nuffin since.

Glad im self employed i have already stopped work as i just do cleaning (can work it around my daughter and nursery) and its been too painful to do much with my back. Ill start asap after ive had LO. Luckily my partner work 6/7 days and has a good wage so we should be ok.

    25wks 2moro... roll on feb!
