I know how u feel gilly0711. I'm 37, I've opted to have the screening for downs this time even though it would make no difference But I'm still fretting about them saying I'm high risk even though I know the odds are that they will coz of my age xx
Thank you...I'm not buying anything until my 12 week scan too, I think I'm just getting a head of my self. I was only thinking like small things like wipes baby clothes, baby soap. I think I might just wait until 20 week scan. Just need to be prepared to go shopping.
i feel your pain Buffy morning sickness is horrible. Mines has finally stopped but I have been told it could come back so I'm just hoping it stays away. I still feel sick after I eat a full meal so just trying to keep it to small meals to keep sickness away. Just hard around Christmas.

I'm 43 and this is baby number 8. I've decided against any tests, like you it wouldn't make any difference to me and oh so not going to ruin my pregnancy worrying. Loads of aches and pains this time round as last two babies were delivered by c-section so going that's the only reasons for the cramps.
I ate my first full meal just now (which is like 1/4th of what i usually eat but whatever) and even had dessert .. i just hope it will stay in as i desperately need some normal food in my stomach.
Wow 8, peoples jaw drop when I say I'm on my fourth. Love the idea of a big family but I like big age gaps with my kids so prob won't fit many more in! xx
I love a big family too and my hubby goes back and forth on whether he wants another one. Our other two are 14 and almost 11. So much love to go around. I really haven't bought anything either. I am seeing a specialist due to my age, 37, so we will see how it goes. I'm just wanting everything to be okay and trying to stay positive. Still have sore boobs, really sore back and tired all the time. I know I've said it before but I can't wait to start really feeling baby move...and to start having more energy. So exciting we will be seeing our little ones in only a few short months and there's so much going on in between that I'm sure it will fly by.
Funny enough DanielleLaura been getting lots of twinges again today. Have them every couple of weeks not sure if it's just a stretching and growing thing. Had them on the sides and this time across the centre of my abdomen x
Yeah I've been told it's stuff streching I mean it's not pain enough to make me in really bad pain just feels like it feels like someone poking me on sides a few times but has eased of now it comes and goes and no bleeding so I'm not gonna pan got my 12 week Scan next week so gonna hold off till then xxx
I get those pains sometimes it's your womb stretching.. I can't believe how tired I've been lately, I could have slept all day yesterday, but had my father in law over, I ended up falling asleep on the sofa after lunch. Not feeling as tired today thankfully. I have my midwife appointment on Monday and the 12 week scan the following Monday! Hope you all had a nice Christmas? Is anyone experiencing heartburn, back acne or cravings yet? I have all 3
I have had spots in odd places including my back for the last few weeks, but in the last few days have developed a rash on my hands, arms feet and legs. Little white itchy spots driving me insane. From what I have read it's a pregnancy rash caused by a reaction to hormones and could last till I give birth!! First thing I'll be mentioning to the midwife today!
Oh man sounds grim hope they sort you some cream or something for it? god why is it such hard work being preggy? I feel so sick today and down and depressed my poor son is a bit neglected today playing on the iPad lol X
No she just said use e45 to soothe it as its normal and nothing they can do :-( everything else was fine at midwife, though I may be too late to get the nt scan due to the new year closing etc (grrr- wouldn't be an issue if they hadn't mucked up my mw referal in the first place)!
Hope everybody had a lovely Xmas can believe I going be 10 weeks on Friday allready still beening sick sumtimes even with anti sickness tablets tiredness still really bad hopefully pass soon got midwife 7th Jan scan 20th Jan can't believe I can't even drink my beloved irn bru all my family are shocked as I love the stuff lol x
Rustic that doesnt sound comfortable, if it's any help I suffer from hives occasionally and use eurax lotion it's teally good and stops any itching I have cools it down straight away. U can buy the cream as well. Hope it settles down for you.
its all going quick for us ladies I can't wait for my scan on Monday. I keep feeling little fluttering on my left side quite low down and I know it's not wind cuz I have ibs lol so hoping it's having a little wiggle in there. still getting twinges etc specially wen I stand up too quickly. Can't ly in my front anymore hurts and get out of breath so so quickly I can't catch my breath. B great when I can tell everyone and get my maternity clothes on the go instead of hiding it 🙂
Ah the midwife mentioned eurax to me as well as e45 so I will get some of that and try it! Thank you :-)
im not really showing yet but I have been told my uterus is tilted backwards so will be late to show and I have a bit of a tummy anyway so I think I have a few more weeks before I have to hide it.

I wasn't expecting this little surprise, my others are 21, 20, 15, 13, 10 and 5 and a baby angel who would've been 6 so they're kinda spread

Yes I have been getting those pains too. I'll get a day of them then they go away for a while and then come back so it sounds quite normal.
