  • Hi everyone,
We wanted to just drop by and let you know about 2 threads we're chatting about today.

The first is if you already have a child and you also have pets too, do they get on? That thread is here
The second thread we're chatting about is if you have a child at nursery or school, is their nursery or school very close to a main road? That thread is here.

We would love to hear from you!

  • Just wondered how everyone's baby movements are feeling at the moment. I feel like mine aren't as strong as before. I can still feel him but I would have expected the movements to feel stronger not weaker as the days went on.

  • Mine are stronger most days some days not so much though.

I keep getting tightenings if I walk or need a wee or have just been. my tummy is really sore and hard it feels like he's sitting on my belly button is this normal ?

  • Louise I would think it's coz maybe baby is moving around? Some areas might be more cushioned then others? Sometimes I feel like Charlie is under my boobs other times it feels like he's in my vagina haha

Lillian could they be Braxton hicks? I've been having cramps in my pelvis and my belly sometimes goes hard but I remember having having the same with olly I'm hoping it's just all normal. If you're worried ring your midwife or the assessment unit always best to get checked out.

  • Thanks  ladies. I keep trying to bear in mind that I have an anterior placenta which could be the reason I'm not feeling the movements as much but then I worry that I could blame it on that and then something could actually be wrong.

Definitely sounds like braxton hicks Lillian xx

  • Yeah I think it is braxton hicks sitting at work all day I think is just making everything ache! I stood up at a football match tonight and was much better !

  • Sitting here on nights I've got such bloody pain in my pelvis and legs it's so hard to get comfy wish I could have a recliner or summit to sit on lol although Id probably be asleep. Got all my shifts now til I leave in the second week of June I'm just trying to focus on the extra money it'll bring in especially now I have ollys nursery fees to pay

  • Has anyone booked a 4d scan. We have booked ours for when we are 28 +3 and I have never had one before. Just wondering how they turned out.

  • I had one with my last baby. It was lovely and the dvds are lovely to keep.i had to walk round quite a while as he wasn't in a great position to see his face first of all but they eventually managed to get him right. I am thinking of having another but not sure when to have it. I have a normal hospital scan at 28 weeks so might have one about 32 weeks. Can't wait to see your pictures CGal xx

  • Hi everyone, if you have a child already (aged up to two years) or fancied telling a friend, we've just kicked off a new product test. It's for the new range of Baby Dove Rich Moisture products and if you're chosen to take part, you could also win a £100 voucher for your feedback.

Find out all about it on this thread here

  • I'm not

my sister brought them and never used them

  • Hi ladies how we all been today

  • Think the advice is not to use cot bumpers. I didn't use them for my son instead used the sleepyhead insert from 5 months when he started rolling about.

You can buy specialised ones that are mesh and breathable.

It's obviously your own choice but in the early days the sleep pretty much in the one position so they aren't needed.

I'm up checking on my son. He broke out in a rash last night but nhs 24 said just to monitor and go to gp in the morning. I think it might be chicken pox which I could really do without. Hope it's vanished by morning.

Tmi but I keep getting constipated. I don't know if it's still cause I've got 'morning' sickness and my digestive system is confused but those fibre drinks r manky.

  • I was going to look into the mesh ones they look ideal

I feel your pain Kat I find fruit and orange juice my saving grace I get thtwo cartons a week but since drinking it I'm much better

last day at work for a week and abit then when I return I'll be in my third trimester ! Wow

    hope you ladies are well

  • Hey ladies how is everyone? I'm 28+3 weeks its flying by! Saw my consultant yesterday and had a growth scan and all is well😁 with my first I had a 3rd degree tear which took ages to heal and I do have slight incontinence now with wind and tge urgency to go😳 (sorry!) and he said if I had a vaginal delivery he can't guarantee it won't happen again or that it will be fixed properly, so hes gearing towards a csection which I was already thinking of, have any of you had a csection that could shed some light please! I'm in two minds x

  • Madie youre confusing me...I'm 27+6 and due 1/7/17...if you're 28+3 is your due date June? Or have they worked mine out wrong. I'm rubbish at the math.

Back from gp and no chicken pox. They think it might be a side effect of the mmr As other than the rash he's fine so thank God for that.

I need to get a move on and order my pram and get a new moses basket and bouncer but I'm so lazy.

I keep seeing things about premature babies everywhere and it freaks me out. Has anyone has a premature baby before?

A third degree tear? Ouch! I didn't have a section but theres good and bad to each side of it. I think it just depends how well you heal. How old are your other kids? If I had a section I'd really struggle as my son would only be 17 months old and would need picked up etc. Probably best to take the doctors advice.

  • Hey all.

Im porbably going to get a sleepy head as well for the cot they seem to be really good.

My back is starting to get so sore! im a receptionist so i sit a lot at work (lucky i know!) but the weight of Emilio and my boobs are dragging me forward! so uncomfortable haha.

Ive seen a few people have scans coming up.. Ive only had my 12 week scan and 20 week and now no more. Are you guys at some sort of risk or is it just the proceudre at your hospitals? i would love another scan to make sure all is okay but since hes kicking me so hard very oftern i guess i know hes fine without one.

Blood test tomorrow for me to check for diabieties.. again has anyone else got this coming up? i do have a diabetic sister so maybe thats why i have to be checked.

  • This isn't the same but  i was born at 33 weeks and weighed 3 poundsish and I'm fine ! lol plus that was 27 years ago nearly.

I'm not having any more scans just 12 and 20... and I'm with you on the back ache sitting down all day is a killer !

  • I had an alarm on my phone so every 20 min I stand up and do a strech and then sit back down.

I almost got stuck on the train the other day as I seized and could barely stand up.

I only got an 3Rd scan last time cause I was measuring small. They aren't scheduling one this time but just keeping an eye on me. Usually you're only rescanned if you're under observation for something or like my SIL who got one near due date to confirm baby was breach.

I've got an appt next week acandditionalnnpptnd midwife said they would do a blood check then.
