Hi all well I had a little bleed well minimal little blood clot then a little when I wiped no think since that was 2 days ago so I called the epu and have a scan booked for the 26th at 8 weeks but I thought I should have had 1 sooner any advice on this as I have never had any bleeding with my girls x

Had my BFP yesterday. It's still very early days, I'm only 4 weeks, so due end of May.

This is baby #1 for us so pretty exciting and terrifying at the same time!!

Hi Lumc86, huge congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to MadeForMums! How are you feeling?

    Congratulations lumc

is anyone else suffering from lower back pain. It's almost as low down as my bum and localised to the right side. Taken paracetamol but it's not helping :( not sure whether to go for a massage or not

Got my bfp this yday and then again today! My head feels like it's turns upside down it won't sink in. Been to the doctors and she looked at all 3 of my tests... said they were so clear there was no need to test again.

Having pcos and been under fertility specialist since I was 23 for one reason or another I never thought this would happen.

Convinced my tests are wrong and I'm going to come back down to earth with a thud in the next few weeks/days. I guess this is how it is on the first pregnancy until we get our scans.

Partner is super positive and excited and I just can't seem to allow myself because I'm terrified the results are wrong some how...silly I know. It's my first month on clomid so I'm gobsmacked lol

Ridiculous I know but I had almost accepted over the years children were unlikely in my future after all the set backs

Anyway! Due roughly 21st of may 2018. Congratulations to the rest of you xx

Hi Marie999, welcome to MadeForMums and huge congratulations! We're thrilled for you!

Congratulations to the newbies! hoping for a healthy 9months to all.

Reee, I did have a very little bleed at around 6w, no clots, only brown tinge on paper when wiped (sorry tmi). It was super mild and happened twice and that  was it.

It is quite normal to have some bleeding on first trimester, but of course always worrying it can be mc. Its great you are having a scan, I guess if your bleeding has stopped there is no point on doing an earlier scan. Early scans sometimes are a worry as sometimes you cant see a hear beat and you have to go back a few days later etc. so best to have the scan a wee bit later so you can actually see the little heart.

Keep us posted on how you get on.

I am sooo tired is unveliable! Also having a cold which doesn't help. I also have a little nausea, but mostly food aversion! It seems I cant eat anything sweet, only fruit and yogurt on the sweet department...

    Hi ladies,

only just found this website and glad I have. Me and OH found out 3 weeks ago that we are expecting (my first, his fourth) and we couldn't be happier.

Turns out we are due the 1st May but may be a bit of a difference at scan as we had only been off the pill a couple of weeks.

So far no major pregnancy symptoms other than my boobs getting massive, tiredness, cramping and for some random reason sneezing loads (may also have torn a muscle due to all the sneezing) anyone else experiencing the sneezes? Or am i just weird?

Hope everyone is well and enjoying waiting for their first scans.

Hope to get to know everyone. Bit better soon

    lerato x

Evening everyone. How strange, I keep sneezing too!!

Went to the doctors today, had to fill out a form and then was told to just wait for the midwife to contact me and that it could be up to the 12th week, is this normal? I would have thought it would be before then?

Hey Matilda I just phoned my gp practice and they told me to phone maternity at the hospital who gave me my appointment for 8week booking appointment and dating scan at 13weeks

I am so glad that I'm not the only one sneezing. Thought I was making it up as a pregnancy thingy....lol.

It was the same for me I had only moved house 2 months before we fell pregnant and I hadn't gotten round to registering at the local surgery yet so when I called to get details for registering I told them I had just found out I was pregnant and all they did was give the the switch board number for midwives.

I've got my first midwife appointment on 28th Sep and first scan 19th Oct.

Do any of you have your names picked yet?

Also do any of you have recommendations for nursery furniture. I'm not fussed about the brand but really don't want to be spending a grand on the stuff and don't know where to start for normally priced items.

    I have so many questions..😁

Nic4824 It seems to be that every area does it differently, clearly in my area you are just supposed to wait to be contacted which is a bit frustrating.

Lerato, I haven't thought of any names yet, I'm actually thinking of not finding out the sex and keeping it a surprise. My sneezing als

Sorry phone sent before I had finished lol. My sneezing seems to have suddenly stopped now since yesterday which is even more strange x

    I have Iona/Erin/Niamh for a girl. Let's hope it's not a boy or I'm screwed. I don't like any boy names :(

for nursery I definitely want a changing unit and a chair in there! I have 2 changing units at work, they are amazing!

Matilda we aren't planning on finding out the sex either. My OH said it would make him feel like part of the birth by being able to tell me what sex the baby was when it was born and I think it's a beautiful idea so we are going to wait. Not that I think it'll be easy. Haha.

Those names are lovelly Nic.  My middle step daughter is called Niamh. We have Kaleb for a boy and Ali for a girl but that's about all we were able to agree on atm anyway.

We plan on having cot (with hammock for when first born) then drawers wardrobe and changing top for the cot but it all adds up penny wise. Can't believe how expensive it all is.

I'm not wanting to find out the sex either. its just that little extra surprise at the end. i haven't discussed any of the names with my oh. hes busy focusing on buying a new house. I said to my aunt today that I'm thinking of getting most things second hand and she wasn't best pleased! I'd love all the nursery furniture white with maybe a liGot grey on the walls. I know I want the bouncy chair/swing to be a cream colour. I really don't like the jungle or brightly coloured ones. I like new babies in light plain colours. Different as they grow.

Anyone any recommendations for prams. One with a good sized carrycot and suitable for the bus. I do like more traditional prams, but the set wheels aren't ideal for nipping round the shop or the bus

Hi. I've just found out last week that I'm pregnant. I'm really scared as It wasn't planned so I hadn't done any tests or took any foilic acid. I'm 7 weeks now and been trying to see a doctor/midwife since last week to be finally told that I've an appointment for the 10th October. I would be 10 weeks at the time, shouldn't be seen before that? for some bloods tests, advices,.... (apologies for any mistakes)
