overtired baby?!?!?

My LO often lets himself get over tired. We try to get him to sleep when he shows signs of tiredness but he doesn't like to give in. Do anyone have any advice on what can help us? LO also crys for no reason, we try to give him his bottle, give him a new nappy, cuddle him, leave him to talk to himself but nothing pleases him, he then decides to let us know he really wants his bottle all along, and doesn't stop crying until after we give him his bottle, does anyone elses LO do this? any advise would be amazing!!
