Baby cards?

Hey Girls.. I don't know where to post but I hope here is the right place... Well, I am Anna and I am from Germany.. I moved few weeks ago to UK because my boyfriend is working here... We are expecting end of Oktober our small boy.. I wanted to ask whether is it in the UK also common to send baby cards after the birth? I ve been thinking about send some to Germany and to our friends here (with the date of the baby party).. I want to use some print shop but I have no idea which is good here.. can you recommend some (cheap+good)?
