Make your restyle make a difference!!!
Hi all, I'm currently growing my hair so I can have it cut but I really wanted to create awareness for the cause really. I'm going to donate my hair that is cut off to a chairty that makes wigs for children with cancer. you can also donate to charities that make wigs for adults too. You don't get paid for the hair you donate but you would be putting a smile on someones face. If you google donating hair for charity there are a few sites that come up. The minimum length of the hair donated is 6 inches. Some of the charities will take dyed hair as long as you put a note in to say it is dyed. I just wanted to let people know as many of us change out hair styles and what is cut of is swept away and thrown out when it could help someone. If any of you reading this know someone who is having their hair cut soon, please let them know so they can make a difference too. I've posted this info on my FB page and hope others will do the same.

I'd heard about it before and then it went completely out of my mind. I'm trying to do good deeds lately so I'm right on top of my recycling, I'm wanting to do this too and I'm getting an allotment and they are huge so if that goes well I'm going to try and grow enough veg for my family and see if there is enough for my daughters nursery cos they have all free cooked meals there. I'm also trying to think of something to do to raise a bit of money for Cancer Research. I'm thinking of having a baking day and getting my other half to take them to work to sell and give the money to the charity. I think the hair donation is such a great idea though. Let me know if you manage to grow it. I think I'm going to get the girls to grow theirs when they are older so they can do it too.
