Period is 2 months late but test says negative...Help?!

I last had a period at the start of August 2015 and haven't had another one since, it's been 2 months roughly. I took the pregnancy test today (October 8th 2015) but came back negative. I don't know if I've taken the test too early or what. I don't like Doctors as it is so I have bought another two tests but not sure when to take them now. What do I do?
