Off school during school time????
hi ladies
Hope you can help.
I took the kids out of school this summer a week early as we had just bought a house at home and I needed to sort things out. Also Charlie has hypospadius and I wanted him to see the Dr wo has been following his progress. This Dr is private and goes off on his hols for 2 months July and Aug so the end of June is the only time I can see him.
I have just recd the calendar for next year and gulp......... they break up the 14th July. My problem is that my cousin gets married on the 2nd July and Amelia is a flower girl. Also she wants to boys to take down the communion!
I don't know what to do. I could fly in and fly back for the last 2 weeks at school OR just take them out. I will prob need to see the Dr again as he may operate next summer ( he prefers them to be 5 plus) so I could use that as an excuse as a wedding sounds a bit feeble.
Do you think Yr 2, reception and pre school are OK to miss the last 2 weeks of term????
Problems, problems.

too be truthful all my kids do in the last 2 weeks of term is sports day, school trips and finding out which classes they are in next year, as for lessons i don't think they really teach them much. we normally go on holiday the last week of term and they never miss much. we can't next year though as my eldest moves onto secondary school and her induction day is in the last week. if were you live is like my area, pre-school is children who are 3 or turning 3 that school year and reception is the year they start primary school part-time ( 4 yrs old), and according to the law it isn't compulsory for you're child to attend school until the september after they turn 5 (the year the start proper infants in year 1) xxx
We are in the Middle East so things are a little different though they do follow the british guidelines etc..
