Holidays Abroad??

Hiya, my partner and I want to take our 2 boys on holiday abroad (somewhere close like spain, turkey, greece etc) together with my sister, her partner and their two children (they are older 13 and 16). We have no idea where to start looking and was wondering if anyone has any ideas where to go and also what sort of price we are looking at. Is it easier to book a villa or just go self-catering. We dont particularly want to go all incluive if possible as we dont want to be stuck to eating at certain times etc, any ideas would be really helpful, thanks xxx

  • Hi
I took Jessica to Gran Canaria for a week in febuary and it was fab, we stayed at playa de las ingles. The flight was less than four hours and the transfer to the hotel was about half hour. I would definitly go for a villa though as i found it hard having us all in the same room.

Let us know what you decide on.
  • I live near Skeg, our paths might cross!!!

I'll be the fat one waddling with a pram!!!!
  • I was reading your post, albeit an old one. Villas are a great idea for a family, you dont have the restrictions of hotels, have breakfast (messily) at your own times and private pools etc are a real boon. A hotel with suite (extra room to put a cot) are the most expensive rooms to book too.

I would suggest you try companies like http://www.qualityvillas.com , http://www.holidayrentals.co.uk , http://www.dreamvillarentals.com who all cover european villas well.

  • Thinking of staying in the UK this year, as the pound is not doing well!

Any suggestions as to where is good?

I will be 7 months pregnant (another reason for staying here), and my little girl is three, so need to be near things to keep her happy......
