Does anyone here have any idea regarding lasik eye surgery?

Hey,

I am a homemaker and have two kids. My younger one is 14 years old, and he is suffering from myopia. He does not like to wear glasses and I always fight with him for not wearing glasses. We also bought a pair of contact lens for him but that too is of no use. My son is not able to handle with the lens. Later my friend suggested me to go for a Lasik eye surgery which would help him to get rid of glasses forever and improve his vision. I feel it would be a better option for him. I was too confused whether this would be done for children of his age. Does anyone here have any idea regarding this? Please do reply.
