WW and breastfeeding advice please

Hi Ladies

I am wanting to follow weight watchers when baby is eventually here (over due at the min) I understand you have to wait 6 weeks after the birth before starting to diet and excercise is that correct?

I am planning to breastfeed and was wondering how many extra points you get on weight watchers, I have all the material from when I have done it before.

  • Hi! I would wait 6 weeks if you are BF until your milk is well established before starting WWers. It's 10 points a day extra if you are exclusively BF or 5 if you are also using some formula or giving solids. I did it and lost 2 1/2 stone over the year! I BF for 14 months...

It is recommended you only lose 1lb a week otherwise you will affect your milk supply.
