Pilates

Hello

Anyone tried it for getting their tummy back in shape? I usually avoid anything where you don't build up a sweat, but have heared that this is the best thing for getting a flat tummy (although I am not sure if that's even a possibilty for me any more!). :roll:

    Pilates is great, so much more than just for getting a flat tummy. It works on the core , spine, stomach & concentrated breathing & helps weight loss, improves posture & also helps clear your body of stale air meaning you breath better too.. There is no high impact jumping around which I love as I have bad ankles & after I have done a basic 20 minutes session I am sweating buckets.

    Check out the Pilates for Dummys dvd, it is a basic 20 minute standing & 15 minutes floor routine. It's a really good introduction dvd for someone who has never done pilates before & I like that the 2 sections can be completed either separately or done one after the other but all under an hour.

    I tend to do just the standing every day as it fits well in the time I have. Give it a go. It really does work.
