Metformin but I'm ovulating?

Hi all,

we've been trying to conceive for 3 years, have been regulary seeing GP over the last year, sperm samples done and regular day 21 blood tests as I have PCOS.

My GP has now referred us to the fertility unit at the hospital where she thinks I'll be prescribed metformin, but I'm unsure how this will help as I'm already ovulating.. has anyone else experienced this?
