Queen Mary's, Roehampton

Hi Ladies

It has been a while since I have been on this site. Next Tuesday we have our first IVF consultation and I want to know if any of you know how strict QM's is when it comes to BMI. The letter I received mentioned a BMI of 29.9 and below, but as I was on steroids for 8 months and only came off them in April (I was having treatment for High NK cells), I found it hard to lose weight. My BMI is now just over 30 and wonder if this will hinder our chances at all.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanka
Sarah

    Hi Sarah

I'm afraid I cannot help with you query but wanted to say hi as we must live close to each other - I am under St Helier Hospital down the road. Are you going private or NHS?

Good luck with it all, I'm sure if you explain they can be flexible x

    HI Debbie,

Thanks for your message, I am based in Banstead, we are going on the NHS after failed attempts following steroid treatment for high NK cells.

    Hope all is going well.
