recent epidural experiences?
hi
i have never had an epidural as i have a lift phobia and know it would mean i have to go in a lift, where after my first two births i have climbed the stairs to ward, whereas i am guessing i wouldnt be able to do that after an epidural.
i wonder if anyone who has had an epidural in recent years can tell me whats its like. i have a few questions:
1. how much can you move/not move?
2. what is the highest point of your body that is numb?
3. doo they top it up every so often, or is it a one dose does the whole time kind of thing?
4. can you get such a thing as a low dose of it? ( i am worried about feeling trapped).
5. did it result in forceps/other intervention, that was prob caused by not being able to feel to push?
sorry for all the questions but i have read mixed things, and just want to hear from those who have actually experienced it.
