How do you know when your back waters go???

Hi, I'll be 38 weeks on Wednesday and I been having braxton hicks, back pain and strong twinges fru and around my pelvis some shoot up my front others my back and down my legs, but can your back waters break when you wee?? I have started wearing a pad due to bein paranoid when they go lol iv had a lot of clear mucus/discharge but the other day I went a wee and a lot more come out than expected I wasn't busting or nothing and wasn't anything unusual in the loo but I got a weird niggling feeling about it, I recently split with babies dad and I'm on my own am terrified bout goin in labour on my own he will be there for the birth, when I had my son I went in to be induced and had bath at hospital and my waters went in there I never felt them go so have no idea what it feels like I'm prob worryin over nothing but any advice please help xx
