How long until labour after losing plug
I lost my plug today at 40 weeks, have been having painful "contractions" for last 3 days, so was glad to see something was happening as was getting worried it was all for nothing. Just wondering how long it took other mums to go into labour after losing their plug. (I know it's different for everyone, just wondering)

With my 7yr old I was already 4hrs into labour before my plug came away.
My 5yr old I lost my plug around a fortnight before.
Twins were emergency section
I was 41w had a sweep and walked home from appointment. Lost my plug walking home (not glamorous!) And then my first contraction was around 11pm. Got regular around 1am. Waters popped at around 5am and was 7cm when examined on arrival to hospital at 6.30am. Daughter arrived arrival time 13:26 so I was around 24hours from plug loss to holding baby. The plug can reform but I'd say at your stage in oregnancy it's things happening! Good luck x
