Membrane sweep doesn’t seem to have worked!? Help!?

Hi everyone,  

I had a membrane sweep on Wednesday at 38+3 due to large gestation weight. Midwife said cervix was favourable, 1-2cm dilated with a good chance of success. Had bloody show Wednesday night and lots of mucus plug all day yesterday and this morning. Also took midwives advice of lots of long walks and sex.... back ache and odd period like twinge and that’s all I’ve had!

Its my first pregnancy and I am just looking for any advive or reassurance and if it could still work? Booked in for another sweep Wednesday failing that pessary induction on Friday the 5th.
