first period advice

hiya had baby 5 weeks ago,stopped bleeding after 3 weeks but yesterday had bleeding a bit heavy, am lil worried, could this b first period? im not breast feeding. im getting light period pains but not oo bad, im just worried is this all ok? thanks xx

    Sounds like the first period, though mine wasnt 2 heavy. I bled for 4 weeks and then had first period at 6 weeks. x

    I agree with Tiger Lily. I bled for 4 weeks (though had other birth injuries which probably contributed to that too), went on the mini pill last week and had a very short/light period 2 days ago (am now 8 weeks post natal). I'm breastfeeding at the mo and the only reason I went back on the pill was to stop me getting period pains if I did have a period as I used to get them really bad (although I've found that pain is now all relative since having contractions!!!!!) and obviously I can't use strong pain killers.

    I bled for 6 weeks, then just as it was slowing down I had my first period. I didnt get any period pains but it was heavier than my bleeding had been for a few weeks. Hes almost 11 weeks now so am expecting another any time now, joy!
