Anyone had c section due to baby being breech?

I am 38+5 and at my 38 week appointment with the midwife last week she thinks the baby has turned and is now breech. At 36 weeks it was head down!

I am due to go and see the consultant at the hospital tommorow who will confirm its position and run me through the options.

If baby is still breech do you think they will offer to turn it at this late stage? I really dont want them to, the whole thing freaks me out!

I really didnt want a c section but i have kind of got used to the idea now - just wondered if any of you have experienced anything similar and can give me reassurance that c sections are really not that bad?
