  • (((big hugs)))) Vickster_77 you're right our weekends are v.similar! Glad you are feeling better today, I am better too just ploughing though my uni work now and looking forward to DH's SA next week. I bet I'll be nervous too when we get to the first appointment - I was bad enough when we went to the doctor! Like you said I'm sure it will just be a lot of discuss and questions on your first visit, you never know it might put your mind as ease about the road ahead - good luck I'll be thinking of you x
  • Awww Vickster, sorry to hear you haven't been too good over the weekend. Its rubbish when your feeling down and then everything and everyone seems to be out to get you and upset you by rubbing it in your face!! Stupid Twilight film for being baby orientated, how inconsiderate of them!! haha. Glad you are feeling a bit better now though and try not to be nervous about your the appt hun, it is one step closer to that BFP whichever path your TTC journey takes you, every little appt and test result is a little step closer everytime!! Will be thinking of you.

Looby sorry you haven't had a good wknd either. I love this time of year and I love christmas but I got so upset last year because all my friends were getting excited about seeing their children open their presents, taking them to see santa, shopping etc. I didn't think I would still be here again this christmas and have to go through it all again. So I completely understand how you are feelng.

Woke up feeling rubbish this morning, started to get cold, really hope it doesnt affect BD this week. Hubs will just have to put up with a snotty wife!! The imagine of monica in friends with the vicks rub springs to mind!! haha.

Hope you both have a good day/week.

Sending big hugs to you both!!

    xx
  • Thanks for the hugs girls!!

Mrs86 your post made me chuckle, hope the Vicks seduction technique worksimage

I know what you mean about the whole xmas/baby saga consoled myself last xmas over the lack of BFP wth the thought of 'oh well at least this time next year I'll have a baby'!! Looks like I'll be doing the same this year, bah humbug!!! Although I have already stocked up on all things of the alcholoic variety to make sure I can enjoy another 'last boozy xmas' at least that's some consolation!!

When will your hubs get the results of his re-test??

Loopy, big (((hugs))) to you too hun and hope this next week flys by x x x Hope you don't have too stressful a week at work!
  • I like your style with the last boozy xmas!! I need to get some supplies in!! We will have our BFP or babies before next christmas!! Positive thinking, positive thinking, positive thinking!! Do you think if I say it enough I may start believing it?!! Haha.

He should get the results a week on thursday, but last time they took a week longer so who knows!!

    xx
  • Good Luck today Vickster and Mr Vickster!! Got everything crossed for you!

Hi Looby, hope everything is ok with you.

Nothing new from me, still full of cold and still using the Monica Vicks seduction technique!! Its worked the past two nights so lets hope it continues so we can catch ov. Not doing opk's as I used them last month and they didnt pick up ov but I know I ov'd because I was constantly scanned all month because of the clomid. Hoping I ov around the same date this month.

Got my work's xmas night out tonight (early I know but my work are a set of scrooges and don't like going out in December!!

Let us know how you get on Vickster. Flinging loads of good luck your way!!

    xx
  • Thanks Mrs86, will let you know how we get on!

Didn't realise you were taking clomid, how's that working out for you? Did you have irregular cycles or have you always ovulated?? I'm still kind of hoping they might suggest that to use to help things along a bit, rather than saying its ivf and or nothing!!

Loopy, you've been quiet, hope you're not being overworked!!
  • mrs86 hope your works party goes well - my boss is soooo tight we dont even have one!

Vickster_77 wishing you the very, very best of luck today hun I'm excited for you! It must be nice to know that things are moving forward even if you're a little nervous - I know I will be when our time comes. Looking forward to hearing an update from you.

My boss was a nightmare yesterday, I felt like crying. He picked holes in everything I did and just caused problems, just feel like he's got a bee in his bonnet so I'm getting it in the neck. Really didn't want to come in today and my temp took a massive nose dive this morning so I'm expecting AF tomorrow. Thought I wouldn't be as bad this month as I'm looking forward to DH's SA next week and getting the results but I'm still gutted.

I spend last night making stew and filling in a job application form. Hoping and praying I can get out of here even if I was pregnant I know my boss would make my time in work hell so I'm better off out of here. I don't want to be still working here going through fertility treatment tbh, I would love to work with some nice people for a change.

Ahhh (big sigh) roll on the weekend, going to go for an Indian meal with DH tomorrow night and a few drinks I think. DH has his doctor's appointment today as he's been having pains in his stomach so hoping he's ok xx
  • I was on the pill for 8 years and when I came off it June 2010 I never had a period since so they started me on clomid last month. It worked last month and I had a good since follicle and ovulated, round 2 this month so hoping it works this month.

Your boss sounds like a complete arse Loopy! Hope your DH is ok and he gets some answers about his pains from the docs.

    xx
  • Thanks mrs86.

Popped back on to see if any update from Vickster x
  • I keep popping on for an update too!!

Hope all went ok Vickster wherever you are!!

    xxx
  • Hi mrs86 and Vickster DH went to the doctor's about his stomach pains and by chance he saw the same doctor as we originally saw about us having problems TTC. She isn't sure what is wrong with his stomach so he's going for blood tests next week and also for an ECG as she thought his heart beat was irregular. At the same time she booked us both in for another appointment for us having TTC issues on the 8th Dec so then she'll go through all his blood test results, ECG and SA results at the same time. I'm so pleased to have an appointment booked in and be able to speak to the same doctor as she only works at our surgery for two days a week.

Vickster hope everything went ok for you today x
  • Hi ladies, our appt went fine, the xonsultant was really nice and it was great to finally speak to someone who knew what they were on about and was sympathetic!! He took our family histories, went through mine & hubs results and he gave hubs a physical exam which was all fine. He's got to have 2 more in-depth SA in Dec, an ultrasound and he had bloods taken today for hormone profile. So after all those are done we go back for our follow-up appt at the end of Jan, as that was the first available appt!! So we won't really know where we stand until then. He did tell us to get him some more high-strength VitC and VitE to take, so just stocked up in Tesco's!

Loopy, glad your doc was so lovely to your hubs and I hope his test results come back ok!

Only 5 more sleeps until his SA retest and it's good you've got an appt for his results already!! If he does have a sperm problem try and google a good Andrologist in your area then they don't fob you off to your local hospital would be my advice after meeting hubs Dr!!

Mrs86, hope you're enjoying your Xmas do x
  • Ohh Vickster_77 it sounds as if things are really starting to move forward for you and the end of Jan will soon be here! What will be the next step will you be just going through all your hubby's results? Have they said that you need any further tests at this stage? Hope you don't mind me asking but what strength VitC and VitE did he recommend? I'm not sure if I should try something else with my hubby. He started taking the Wellman conception but since he's had stomach problems he stopped taking them as he thought they might be the cause.

I'm so chuffed to have a date booked in think I'll have to make a new ticker! Going to have a nice weekend just me and hubby I think he's a bit worked up about his SA on Tuesday (not that he would ever say) but I'm going to try and be there for him.

Hope you all have a nice weekend xxx
  • Glad to come on here and read some good news!!

So happy that you got a nice Dr Vickster and they are doing everything they can to try and help. End of Jan will come round in now time, look how quick christmas is coming round. He will have the results before you know it!!

Loopy glad hubs is getting his stomach sorted, hopefully they can find out what it is and treat it easily. Yippee for your appt, 8th dec is not long away at all. Loving the new ticker.

Work night out was good, feel shocking this morning though (not drink related, just cold related) think I talked too much lastnight and now my throat is on fire!! We are going through some changes at work and I got asked the dreaded question 'so when are you going to have kids then and go off on Mat leave?' It was just a joke to them, but people dont realise that it is no laughing matter!! Didn't let it spoil my night tho, just shrugged it off and went to get a large glass of wine!! haha

Yay its friday, doesnt seem 2 minutes since I was saying that last week!! have a lovely day ladies!!

    xxx
  • Glad you like the ticker mrs86! I get asked the question in work all the time, there is one lady that keeps saying to me 'pregnant yet?' practically every time I see her so its starting to wear pretty thin. She had trouble conceiving and had her first child at 40 so gave me a long talk on how I shouldn't leave it too late as you never know if you're going to have problems. I couldn't tell her anything as a work colleague was in the conversation and it would have gone straight back to my boss so she had to listen through gritted teeth!!!

Sooo glad it's Friday but I've got AF cramps so waiting for the witch to arrive anytime now - how pants! Going for a meal with hubby tonight so will drown my sorrows with a glass of wine x
  • MrsM, that has to be the worse question in the world and not funny in the slightest and will never be uttered from lips ever again!!! Hope the wine helped and glad you had a good time still! Hope your cold eases up today so you can enjoy your weekend!

Loopy, he reccommend 1000mg Vitamin C with zinc and whatever the highest doss of Vitamin E we could find (can't remember what we bought now), so hubs is now on 7 pills a day, complains lots but is still taking them and rattles when he walks in a morning!!

Really hope the witch doesn't arrive for you but hope you have a nice meal with hubs and plenty of vino! That's what me and hubs did last night after our appt, hence my late post!

I've got a spa day tomorrow that I'm really looking forward too, what about you girls, any plans for weekend??
  • Loopy hope the witch doesnt get you. Enjoy your meal tonight and have a good few drinks.

Spa day sounds lovely Vickster, I am going to Meadowhall shopping tomorow with my mum and then going to a friends for drinks and a girly night 2moro night. No plans for sunday...will probably involve nursing a hangover with a sunday dinner and catching up on saturday night tv. image

My chart on fertility friend said I ov'd on wed which would have been cd10 so im completely confused now. Last cycle I didn't ov till day 15. We Bd on tues and wed and will carry on every other day for a few days just incase fertility friend is lying. Hope I haven't missed it this month.

    xx
  • Hi Vickster_77 and mrs86 sorry to say that the witch got me. I'm still gutted but don't feel as bad as I normally do because our appointment is just around the corner and I'll finally be able to get some answers.

Hope you both have a lovely weekend, I was going to go shopping with DH on Sunday but I think my parents might be coming down instead. My Dad has built us a huge wardrobe so he'll be fitting that with my hubby so perhaps me and my mum will pop into town x
  • Hi

I'm new to this forum. We've been ttc for nearly four years, been having scans and tests for over 2 years! It's just all so slow and gets you down some times. Finally found out I have unicornuate uterus and fused other tube so IVF is only option. We went for first appointment last week only to be told I need an MR and to see another specialist before can start so it will now be the end of next March before can get another appointment! I'm 37 so time really is not on my side. Just crossing my fingers they don't say IVF is not possible.

    Georgie x
  • Aww looby, really sorry the witch got you. But like u say atleast you know you have got an appt just round the corner and you will start getting some answers.

    Welcome georgie.
